i have a 6 speed, but i'm sure in the long run its not worth it.

i remember i was thinking about doing that when i had my civic, and there was wayyyyyyy to much work and money involved than it was really worth. even the axles has to be changed out.

I was going to do it, its not worth it in the long run. Figure $5K for everything.

it really wouldnt be that hard to do, i mean, you will need a tranny, clutch and a couple other parts you could grab off a wrecked Z.

you'd also need a manual ECU and get the car to a dealer to have the dealer resync your key, ECU, and BCM together

I'd look into junkyards online and have the stuff shipped to you or go pick stuff up

I was about to drop 5K on this when I had my last Z, I had quite a list going. All sorts of littlethings started popping up.

I'd say wait until the car is old and ratty 10 years from now before trying that.

i think this has been discussed about 10,000 times and everytime it is, just trade your car in for a 6 speed if you want it. not worth the conversion

+1
even a better deal if you can find a used model with less miles than your car

if you dont have many miles on your car, its most likely going to be less to trade in the car and get a new one...

the loss you take trading in the car will be about what it will cost in time, labor and parts to do the swap...
