Hey guys,

Well, there was a 3SNJ - 3000gt/Stealth NJ chapter meet at Ground Zero Performance in Easton, PA. They just setup a new dyno there. Unfortunately, they were not setup to read the torque off our cars, Hans said it was something about the plug and coil setup. Here is the info on their dyno:

The dynos are a combo of a 224 model and 248 model which
can dyno both AWD, FWD, and RWD cars. We're capable of
dynoing cars up to 2000 hp in both awd and 2wd platforms


My dyno was 230rwhp

My friend with a 04 Touring with Borla catback exhaust, testpipe, and popcharger:
His dyno was 240rwhp

So does this sound about right to you guys? I'll take a picture of the dyno sheet when i get a chance, i don't have a scanner.

 

Hmmm 230rwhp sounds a bit low for a rev-up motor. Then again, all dynos read differently anyway. If your friend dyno'd on the same dyno as you and got +10whp, then I'd say that sounds about right for those mods.

 

You didn't mention what brand of dyno they used. That has A LOT to do with the number you will see. Weird that they can't read the torque since that's what a dyno measures, it calculates the HP from the TQ measured.

 

It says on the sheet Dynojet WINPEP7 They attached something to the car, and said they weren't setup for coil and plugs....They were dynoing 3000gts and stealths there also. It wasn't actually 230rwhp, it was 229.55, but i rounded up, its the same with my friend, 239.6. So our numbers sound a little low? I have 1900 miles on the car, he has 26k on his. My friend ran a 14.1@100mph with a 2.4 60ft also. Our numbers sound low? What have other people been getting with the rev-ups? Also, sorry about posting it somewhere else, where did i post this thread? I was making another one so i might have made a mistake, lol.

Edit: Also, it was 93.8 degrees, 29% humidity, SAE 0.98, if any of that matters....

 

How much difference would dynoing in 3rd gear and 4th gear make?
