You could feel maybe a 20 rwhp difference, but not 10 or under.

As I mentioned in an earlier post -- I am at 6,200 feet elevation which means that I would feel more of an increase that people that are a lot closer to sea level. Being in Kansas City, you are a lot closer to sea level than you are 6,200 feet.

I live in denver and am not quiet sure why you think you will get more power up here with the NISMO filter then some one at sea level.... as a percentage you still get the same amount of air increased into the intake.... Would the oxygen level make any difference to the percentage can across the country? I mean you are still getting and extra 10% air flow with a better filter where ever you are right?? Not certain why we would get a much larger gain at altitude?? Anyone enlighten me as to why Oh4aZ would get any better results than someone at sea level..... I just dont see it.

I am not saying I would get better gains, just that I feel the more of a difference at this altitude. I just came back from a road trip from Dallas to visit my brother and had both air elements (stock and Nismo air element). I tried them both down there and really couldn't tell any difference and when I swapped the air elements up here in Colorado, I could feel a difference.

Also, I couldn't believe how much faster my car was down there than up here!!! I am definitely going to go to Bandimere this year (1/4 track in Denver) and then go back down to visit the Texas Motorplex in Ennis and see what the difference is.

With that said, granted my car is a lot faster at the lower elevation, but when comparing the two filters at the Dallas elevation (660 ft I think it is) and at 6,200 ft here in Colorado, I feel more of a difference up here. That doesn't necessarily mean that I have more HP or TQ with the air element at this elevation vs. a lower elevation.

FWIW, Nismo/Japanparts advertises 30% more air flow over stock. I have yet to see any proven documentation to prove that though.

Courtesy Nissan has 3 other than stock filter choices. The K&N, Nismo Sport Filter (Similar to K&N), and the Nismo S-tune. To get the latter two of the three you need to call them.

Do you sell the Nismo Sport Filter and the Nismo S-tune filter for the 350Z?

What are the details and cost?

Thank You

Now, does the S-Tune filter require oil?

No, it is a dry paper filter.

Oh4aZ, I had my car dynoed this weekend with a NISMO air filter vs. the stock filter. My theory was to use the NISMO filter on the first run and the stock filter on the second pull. If the NISMO filter gave additional horsepower the second pull should be lower. Well ended up my first run was 228 and my second was 225. I didn't trust the results so I came back later that afternoon to get to more pulls. I tried the runs this time with the stock first and the NISMO second. The final results were 231 on the first pull and 234 on the second. The difference was three horspower again so obviously the NISMO filter gave more power.

You can get similiar Blitz Air Filter for $30 less here:

I have never heard of Blitz, looks like the blue type made by Excel is it?
Blitz is a very reptuable company in Japan. They make wheels, turbo intercoolers, turbochargers, aero kits, boost controls, etc.

I thought Nismo only has one type of air filter for the Z33? It's called the S-tune Sports Air Element, and fits exactly in the stock location. I didn't think they had a different one (like a cone shaped filter, for example).
