I recently had my 5AT tranny fliuid changed....I had to get it done at the dealership because it requires a "special machine"...The shop that I wanted to have it done at did not have acess to this machine....

Watching tthe Nissan tech who did my change and refill.....there were two hoses connected to the underside of the Z.....both connected to this machine.....so it had to be a pump/flush system......my Z was put on a lift to connect the hoses....

probably not much help, but thats all I've got.

Where did your dipstick go?
You can refill through the tranny cooler inlet/outlet hoses. The AT cooler is integrated into main radiator on the AT Z cars. Look for two black rubber hoses 2/3 of an inch thick at the very bottom of the radiator (left side if I recall).
I believe that you will need some sort of oil pump though. Also, measuring the level of the ATF on our car is a *****. I am still struglling with that.

Did you succeed in DIY ATF refill? I might be undergoing VB upgrade soon and would appreciate if you share any info.
