I just bought a 06 Z auto, i just noticed when accelerating the rpm would have to go up to 3k to shift to second gear, and when im at 60 mph the rpm stays at 2,200 rpm shouldnt be lower than that??? This is my first Nissan, i used to have an 04 accord coupe V6 auto, with this car at 60 the rpm is at between 1,900 to 2k. Is that normal on the Z?

 

Yeah that seems right. In 5th, 80 mph is 3000 rpm and I believe 70 mph is around 2600 rpm and 60 is around 2200 rpm.
