ACT Clutch/Prolite Flywheel INSTALLED!

The install was pretty straight forward, and with the right tools and a lift, its much easier
I got the ACT heavy duty pressure plate with the SS street disc. Should hold Approx 517tq. The Prolite flywheel weighs approx 13lbs.

It definately revs alot faster than stock. You can really feel the engine reving up more freely. The pedal feel is a bit stiff, but in a good way. I work at a Honda/Nissan dealership and I drive feather light cluches all day. This is a great change over stock, b/c the engagement point is actually closer to the floor now. The engagement point is also alot quicker, and you can actualy drive it smoother than stock when you get used to it. While the engagement is still smooth, it also grabs really hard when you rip through the gears. This setup should perfect with my TN setup coming this winter

I've driven two cars now with the ACT street disc and Prolite flywheel and both were quiteter then stock chatter wise. I have the ACT street disc and JWT flywheel and its louder then stock. It also doesn't rev up as fast as the cars I drove with the all ACT setup. And yes both of those cars had the same mods as me. Turbonetics kit, exhaust, etc.
Sounds like you have the StreetLite flywheel if it weighs 13lbs, Prolite is around 8lbs. Either way congrats on the new set-up, ACT clutch/flywheels are great. We've sold them to some happy customers.

Nice work. I have always been impressed, with how well the 350Z handles even the most aggresive clutches. I have tried the ACT 6 puck nasty, with solid hub, and it was totally streetable. Things that are nasty-grabby on a honda, are perfectly acceptable on the 350z. 
The only clutch I find unbearable, are most of the Tiltons.

Good catch, my mistake, I just confirmed with ACT, StreetLite is 18 lbs, they said ProLite is 14 lbs, could just be 13 and change and they rounded up. If you guys are worried about the noise they said the StreetLite is the quieter of the two but, seems they have both been relatively quiet.

yea, iirc ACT told me the prolite weighs around 13.7lbs...so roughly 14lbs

How much whp will the CM FX400 hold?
Which flywheel would you couple it with?
I need something that will hold 550 to 600whp. My budget won't support an ATS setup.

Which setup would you recommend for a daily driven G35 with a JWT TT kit, and a stock bottom end? I'm looking for the least amount of noise, which is why I am thinking of the ACT setuo, but should I go prolite, or streetlite, and which clutch will hold a F/I kit?

The StreetLite will produce less noise than the ProLite Flywheel and the Street Disc Clutch should be plenty of clutch to hold your power and make a great daily driver clutch/flywheel combo.

no vibration at all! it is very smooth leaving a stop.
I only get flywheel noise if I lug the engine (under 1500 rpm) and floor it, but I have never had any vibrations.
