Default my quest for 300 hp n/a

first id like to say i have been spending a lot of time reading on and on about making this much power n/a and it seems like it is virtually impossible. i know rickdogg has like 285 but i was wondering how and why it is so difficult for our cars to make 300 hp....my quest to make it will include the following and please help me out if you have any other/better suggestions.....from what i have been reading, it seems that these mods are the norm: utec, plenum spacer, popcharger, exhaust (nismo), test pipes (resonated to eliminate rasp), crawford headers, ur crank pulley and maybe nismo or jwt cams....am i missing anything else?

Haha! The Nismo exhaust sounds the best imo (I had one) but it doesnt give the best gains. If you are serious about this quest than you should be searching for which exhaust+other mods make the most power. Be ready to spend as much as going F/I.....
Edit: With that spacer (1/2" for most power) Id also get an MREV modified lower plenum. That combo will be good for 15-20+ hp

We can't do ITB's without getting rid of DBW.

To the OP, you should probably have gotten a Z with a Rev-up motor. Bottom line, they are dynoing higher.

I am curious to see what they put out and how they handle mods, if the diff between 287 and revup is any indication it will be sweet for sure!

Honestly its not really possible.. Everyone has tried. If you want to spend more then FI to get there maybe. I talk to a ton of people who have spent thousands on ma mods only to spend the money a second time on FI cause they are not happy with the results. In fact with the right amount of money (god knows how much)you can get more then 300, but honestly whats the point.. I see a ton of people posting that they have done this NA bolt on mod/utec this and that and still dyno 245-250-260 thats about it. Now in my opinion spending all the money on cams and all that stuff doenst justify the cost for the HP you gain. Honestly you are better off putting the money into supporting mods so that you can go FI down the road..

Okay, here you go. That's going back only 6 months. You're not the first one that sucks at searching. A lot of good info here. Enjoy!
