Default Did a dyno day w/ mods. How does this look?

I did a dyno day on a Dyno Jet with my friends Volvo S60R and had a few good pulls. I think I was expecting a little more but am pretty happy with this. I think my wheels may have kept my numbers a little low.

How does this look to all of you?

Mods:
DC Headers
JWT Popcharger
T-Pro Test Pipes
Borla TD Exhaust
19" Ruff Racing 278's (27lbs each)
Nitto Nt555's

HP = 246.85

TORQUE = 234.6

Default You may need a tune

I am not an expert, but my understanding is that your air/fuel should be around 13.

Obviously he is running a little lean due to the boltons... Nothing a reflash couldn't cure...

On par numbers. Get a plenum and then flash and you should be good to go...

+1 You need a tune because your running too lean! He is totally right about you needing to be around 13.

Thanks. I was wondering about that A/F as well. Do you think with the reflash i will pick up any more hp/tq along the way?

With your A/F better you will def see hp/tq gains. For what its worth, I had a leaner A/F than you and when I tuned to 13:1 A/F I picked up 9whp and 12ft/lb's. Send your ECU to Technosquare WITH that dyno and A/F chart and they will tune you nice. Or get a piggyback of your choice and have it tuned. There is more in that set up.

yes sir, your air fuel is little lean, that could easily net you 10 hp on AFR alone, plus another 5 or so for timing being advanced a couple degrees...

good luck !!!

Why does the stock ECU lean the system out with bolt ons. Is this something native to our Z's or is this just common knowledge? I dont seem to remember having to think about tuning my Prelude until I built the motor and went FI.

The ECU isn't leaning it out, the bolt ons are. You have increased the airflow of the car, while the ECU has preset fuel curves. It can adapt to modifications but only so much.

I don't trust those a/f's. I have never seen a g/z vq dyno with a/fs that are that steady(relatively speaking) through an entire gear. Most setups start out pretty lean at 3k, maybe lean up a bit up till 4500, then richen *way* out near redline. Like going from 15ish at the start of the run to high 12's at redline.

There is easily another 10-15whp with a retune.

The sensor they stick up your tailpipe to measure the A/F ratio.

Damn, 27lbs on the rims. I'm willing to be that size rim/tire combo is robbing at least a couple of whp as well...
