Default aftermarket clutch

While trying to figure out if my clutch needs replacing, I decided to price out replacement, both OEM and aftermarket.
OEM= friggin expensive and forget about paying the dealer's labor prices! I was also told by one shop that the flywheel cannot be resurfaced and must be replaced if its got heat/scortch marks. True?

Aftermarket= I found an F1 stage one (anybody know good or bad?) clutch kit for under $300 and an ACT prolite flywheel for another $300. Ive got a shope that'll do the labor for another $300, so Im looking at a grand vs. 2 grand for OEM parts.

Any suggestions? I may not have to replace the clutch now but I'd like to know that Im on the right track when I finally do. Thanks!

Never heard of that F1 Stage One kit?

Most people here go with JWT Flywheel and JWT Clutch. That is the most common set up you will find on here...
