Hi, im looking at a base model 2003, and id like to bring it to the track and be a daily driver, if i buy a lsd can it be installed by a mechanic with no problems and be as good or better then one on the track model(if i buy a better one like nismo) also is there anyway to install the Traction Control System, because it snows here, if i drive carfully its not a problem? and is the Vehicle Dynamic Control good to have also? I hear one is pretty useless I think its the tcs or the vdc. I dont need the cruise control or anything but im just worried about installing a lsd, and the tcs and vdc, would those 2 be turned off at the track anyways?

I can't comment on your winter driving skills but a place down here can sell you a pumpkin with VLSD 3.3 or 3.5 gears and stub axles for $450+ shipping. A mechanic can easily swap that for you. There's got to be a local shop that can locate one for you. I don't know if you could install tcs or vdc(which is highly unlikely) but I'd hate to see the expense. Also, your in Canada, so seat warmers might help which the base doesn't have. I have a base with leather upgrade and love it. The weight is the best thing about it. I ran higher traps and ET's than my buddy's touring and he has more mods.

I might get some leather seat upgrades for it later, but tcs isnt something I can buy and get installed without any trouble? i know lsd is and I will get a nice 2way one. and im guessing vdc is impossible? do people track on the track with vdc and tcs off?

I do not drive the 350Z in the snow. Forget it. If the roads are completely clear maybe.

Get a base....drop in a nice new pumpkin with a 3.9 and LSD...get an OEM HID Kit from JUN....and viola....that's all you need.

So a Quaife LSD would be nice for the street and track? whats a new pumpkin with a 3.9? and whats it do?
