Default Odometer question

I blew my engine a month ago and recently just got the car back with a new engine. Should the odometer read as 0 to reflect the new engine or is it from the old engine? Currently my odometer reads the same mileage as before and was wondering if this is normal. Thanks

i dont think it matters even if you have a brand new engine installed by the dealer, i think they look at it as the total miles put on the vehicle as a whole, not the engine. i'm pretty sure your mileage is just going to have to remain the same, sorry bro

Mileage should stay the...

it should never change if there is warranty on the motor or even the odo its self... in order to replace it, they must have the car at the dealer and the new odo is set with the current mileage on the car...
