Default Retorquing KJR Crank Pulley Question

I had KJR Crank Pulley installed at a dealer several months ago.
After finding out that they didn't do a good job installing my HFC, i began to
doubt if they properly torqued my KJR and decided to retorque it myself.

Couple of questions:

1) I set the torque settings to 93 ft-lb first and tried tightening.
The nut spun about little less than 1/6 of a turn. Mind you that
I did this on already tightened nut.
Does this really matter or do I have to loosen the nut and retorque it all the way?

2) Is it ok to torque it a bit over, lets say to 120-130 ft-lb?

I know that correct setting is 36ft-lb +1/6 turn, but I couldn't break
it loose to retorque it from the scratch.
Assuming the pulley was torqued in spec by the dealer, then I must have
torqued it extra 1/6 of a turn in addition to that. Is that alright?
I know a member here torqued his KJR to 140ft-lb. My torque wrench is
150ft-lb max, so I couldn't have gone more than that.
I was putting pressure till I hear the click at 93ft-lb but I didn't want to put more pressure because it wouldn't really turn anymore.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have mine torqued around the 120-130 ft-lb area if that helps at all. I'm not having any issues thus far

I know at one time the directions were wrong. Do a search here because that was discussed before but I don't remember on which forum. I think it was 36ft lbs then 60Deg or something like that.

Yup! They fixed their instructions.

Yea I have been searching before and I knew of the correct instructions.
I just didn't know if the dealer torqued it at the correct settings.
That's why I tried to retorque it myself, but I couldn't break it loose
so I just ended up doing +1/6 turn on already torqued nut.
The wrench was set on 93ft-lb and it wouldn't turn anymore easily.
I'm just curious if the wrench still measures at 93ft-lb w/o loosening the nut.

You CANNOT retorque a bolt that is already tightened. It will not yield accurate results. They way to retorque your crank bolt is to take it off and reinstall it. I recommend some anti-sieze on the threads to insure proper torque.

Do this and you will be in good shape.
