well the only thing i know for sure is the o2 sensors are different, early years used narrow band and newer use wide band,so i would say you better get the right ecu.plus if its a revup down to a non revup of course the computer,s are not the same.

You might want to talk to somebody from technosquare... I'm pretty sure the ECUs are not directly compatible.

+1 on the widebands on the 06, not to mention the exhaust cam variable timing must add an additional sensor, at least I would assume so.

You will need the engine wiring harness and ECU, 06 has VTC on both intake & exhaust cams, the 03 only has VTC on the intake cam, computers and wiring harnesses for these motors are both different because of this.

The Clean Air Act forbids swapping older more polluting engines into a newer vehicle.............is this for racing/off road use only?

Reselling such a vehicle may be problematic and open you up to future litigation to return to oem as built.......emission fraud.

You WILL need the wiring harness and the ECU, they are different

It should work, however the 06 has lower compression pistons comparted to the 03, dont know if the valves and valve clearance are different, as long as the valve clearance is ok, should work fine.

I've asked this question many times and the answer from the engine gurus is yes, you can bolt your revup heads on a non-revup block. The blocks themselves are identical. If the 03 built block has low compression pistons, you will not have any clearance issues.

The revup motors are the same CR as all the other engines. I dont know where you heard that the revup has a lower CR.

dang Q45 clean air act in GA. That would have been the last thing on my mind during a engine build up. hell down here we do not have to worry about state inspections.
