With all that, like said, you should be somwhere in the high 240s to 250's untuned. The Z definitely responds to boost better, but there is power to be made from a strict N/A setup.

Welcome to the Z owners club. Why not get another EVO?

VQ engines do not respond to engine mods very well. They are designed pretty close to max from Nissan, and there isn't much left to squeeze out of it. The drivetrain loss seems to be a bit worse on these cars, esp. 5ATs, than on other auto tranny cars. You probably gained 15-25 rwhp from all of the mods you have thus far.

Nitrous or FI is really the only way to get signifcant power increases. I'm an N/A kinda guy, but you'll only get 20 whp from a cam swap. May as well spend about $1k and get a 100 shot of N2O.

^Which you can only really use at a drag strip. What fun is that?

lol, the waste (not waist) of money is buying mods and thinking they will give you serious power, when in reality they do almost nothing without tuning.

Do whatever you want though... if you think correcting lean air/fuel ratios and inadequate spark timing is a waste then that's your prerogative.

Without a tune you're looking at most about +10 to +15 hp from stock roughly.

I should add that there are other ways of getting the desired result, without spending anything near $1k and going to a tuner. But I'll let you use the search button to find out how.

Welcome to the world of Z's. Everything is expensive and doesn't do much. And good luck finding anyone around here to tune your Z. I'm in St. Charles ... where ya at in St. Peters?

because evo's cost way too much to maintain when modded like my last one was.
