What exactly is involved with the Vb install. I know I send it away and they beef it up. Then I get it back, and in my car it goes. However, How long does it take to get the vb out, and then how long does it take to pop it back in? Hour wise? Where is the Vb located on the trans?

A little longer with making sure that the tranny is filled properly...

 

It takes a little while to drain the fluid, then you remove the pan from the bottom of the trans and the VB is right there. After removing a few bolts and unhooking some wires it is out and ready to ship. Same basic process for putting back in but it takes a little longer to refill fluid unless you measure how much came out. If you are prepared going in, it takes an hour to remove and an hour to put back in, give or take 15 minutes each way so 1.5 to 2 hours total.
