Hi guys im going to get some cash now and I was thinking on doing a swap to manual I like my AT but I cant even build my motor because it would be worthless since I wont be able to push the power. I was going to do this about a couple of months ago but the offer on an item i wanted appeared and i used the money on that.

I know it can be done I know what I need my question is

If I leave the ECU that came from factory (AT) instead of switching it to a manuals ECU will the ECU start to act weird when not sensing the AT wiring or will it just throw codes.

Please I need help here

 

well most people would actually spend more moneyjust doing the conversion, but since you already invested what 10k? why dont u just buy another 350z thats a manual? just an idea from right field...

 

F*** it im not even going to try it i dont want my car acting weird a friend of mine was going to do the job but he says he cant so im not going with it ill just wait on the clutch packs

 

do an auto tranny swap. like on how the supra's have been done. its a gm transmission i believe i just cant remember what it is. sorry

 

TH-350 or TH-400 Both 3 speed autos. Maybe you could use a built 4L60e, its a 4 speed and would hold the power.

 

Yea but i like the fact that we have manual mode thast why i want to keep this tranny and build it cause the regular At is boring as hell im always driving my car in trip

 

i Think thats the better idea...
possibly trade in your z for a manual. or just sell it privately.
