I would highly recommend you still gap them yourself. Pre gapped not always 100%. Better to be safe than sorry. Only takes seconds to do.

I got a set of NGK Iridium one step colder from Sharif and they were pre-gapped at .039. I just left them at that. My car has been fine.

You're not supposed to gap any iridium plug because yes they are brittle and will break off.

You can only gap copper and platinum plugs. Personally I wouldn't even gap a platinum plug, only copper.

How many lbs should you torque the plugs when installing them?

Close gap helps spark from blowing out in FI. I usually run like a .29 gap, but thats on coppers. Never ever put platinums in a boosted car.

You can gap an iridium plug just as easily as a copper plug - just make sure to use the right gapping tool (the disk type works well for these, I do not recommend using the prong type). If you are breaking the electrodes on either type, you're doing it wrong quite honestly. At the very least, inspect the gaps prior to install. While they do come pregapped, sometimes there are inconsistencies and better to find out before they go in
