B&M Rough Shifts

No shifter, short, stock or otherwise should have any relationship to gear clash. That's either a failure to fully disengage the clutch (i.e. engages too low or you replaced your summer floor mat with a thicker winter one); or, worn syncros.

thats all they are stories....

mine was installed 20k miles absolutely no problem... at lil rattle first 10 miles which i took care off right away with an aftermarket shift ****

as far as the shifts go.... well i guess takes a lil time to adjust but after that its all fun... it really shouldn't take you that long to get used o it. I wouldn't do any hard shifting right away obviously until you are more used to it.. but yeah.. i mean some of the problems you are talking about are not really related to the shifter......
To start i would suggest keep the clutch pressed a lil longer until you are more used to the shifts...

Also for those skeptical..i dunno if half the people that bass it have even tried the 350z short shifter... many think it sits really low(which is not true) then the rattle and everything, but what did you expect with going aftermarket...some stuff requires more meticulous install and this is one of those things...without me considering a good mechanic i installed this and figured out how to fix the rattle

Could the shifter be installed correctly and not aligned correct? Causing me to hit the gear divide?? It is really weird. It was working ok about a month ago, just recently has it started to act up. Maybe I am thinking to much about missing third gear.

When I raced my buddies 07tl Type-s. Everytime I shifted into third it grinded, but did get in.

One of my last questions is will the dealer say anything about the SShifter?

I have the fidanza and it was a little notchy at 1st. Now it seems fine. You have to shift a little harder but a good, weighted **** might help.
