Default Stupid Drive By Wire Throttle Bodies...Need to rev motor...

Okay, so what is the trick to rev the motor up without using the gas pedal or having a friend sit in the car and step on the skinny pedal? Is there a special tool that taps into the computer to do this?

I miss the days of being able to grab a hold of the accelerator cable while under the hood and blip the motor when needed.

Yeah, it's called a "wife".

I've wondered the same thing, though I haven't had to do it yet.

Ha! I guess I should go and get me one of those...oh wait, my car is my wife! Ha Ha Ha

Surely there must be some kind of interface with the computer to do this...maybe UpRevs Cipher software will do it. Hmmmmm

Unfortunatly you have to step on the gas pedal. Do not move the throttle plate by hand or you will trip some codes and run the risk of wacking out the TPS sensors

Hope this helps,
