Default does my LSD not work?

So I was racing my friend the other day and my car kept fishtailing to the left. Every time I launch off a light or floor it in the rain I always fishtail to the left. I just changed my diff fluid too. I thought an LSD would keep me straight.... Or am i mistaken and is this not what an LSD is supposed to do?

Ive been sideways many times, in many cars, even cars with LSD's. Its normal dont worry, just try to keep it straight.

LSD means limited slip differential, it doesn't mean "keep you straight differential"

the purpose of a LSD is to make sure both wheels spin with the same force, even if there's extra load on one wheel vs. the other, to evenly distribute the power.

Right-Hand Rule! With your wheels spinning, your angular momentum will be pointing to the left.

When your back end steps out or fishtails under straight acceleration, that means you've got LSD. Both tires are spinning to try to maximize your traction, causing the rear end to step one way or the other. An open diff. just spins one tire in a straight line and keeps the rear end from "fishtailing."

this is not always true. If both tires are on the road, same conditions, you can still easily fishtail with an open diff.

Yep, my open diff G35 has no issues fishtailing from a launch or around a turn or two perfect strips of rubber.

Also, the LSD used in the G/Z is a vicous setup and will only send out 30% of the power to the non-slipping wheel. It also takes about 1 second for it to start working therefore it's advantages in the straightline are about nill. The purpose of the LSD is to limit wheel spin on sharp slow speed exit turns.

My rear end steps out in corners if I power out really hard due to both rear tires loosing grip, but as for straight lines... it burns the right rear every time... god it's gay. I'm gonna get a quaife.
