How Much Is A Brand New Engine PLEASE HELP
Okay...they are not covering my engine. I blew a rod and they are saying since i have an intake and no cats they will not warranty my engine.
They then say that a new engine, parts alone will cost me $9200. Is that absolutely ridiculous???
Can somebody help me please and put me on a correct path here.

If you have the old VQ35DE, not the 06 rev-up, buy a used one - you can find one for dirt cheap, last time I checked on ebay there was one sold for 800$ (with like 20k miles on it), but had a minor damage to the left side (probably could had been easily fixed with the parts from your blown engine), a running one depending on the mileage is like 1500$-3000$ (check out the marketplace, here on the forum). So I would advice you to buy a used one, check out what is in better condition in both of the engines, keep better parts for you and sell the leftovers.
Edit: And if it is only the rod, try to buy the short block only, will be even cheaper, but before that inspect the damages on the engine carefully.

Well Nissan told me that since i dont have the stock muffler on my car, its what caused engine failure ( at 6200 miles). I took the engine to built Z motors, they found a wristpin had came off of the connecting rod. You can get a used revup motor for around 2500$ i found a few online for that much, one with 1100 miles on it. If you keep watching ebay you can probably find one for cheaper, 1800-2500$ with low mileage on the revup and non revup. I decided to go ahead and do a built a motor, its the perfect time since i need a new engine either way.
Built motor will cost less than a crate engine from nissan.

Heh every lawyer i have talked to charges at least 5,000$+ for a retainer in a case like this, the car can also not be repaired untill after the trial. It has to be stored as evidence. Go pay an attorney a 50$ consultation fee if you dont belive me. I need my car back, as i have no 2nd car right now.

What they told you is BS! However, having no cats in itself is a big fine! Neither of these two would have caused a rod to go! If I were you I would have the car towed home, put the cats back on, put the stock intake back on. Then have it towed to another nissan dealership, maybe call around first an make an apt.

How can an intake and cat-less pipes void your warantee? You should really ask them how they are going to prove that your "breather" mods will be at fault for throwing the rod. Cite the Mangrussom act, hopefully they will be more responsive.

I work at a dealership and this is bullsh*t. An intake/exhaust mod will not cause that sort of failure.
Did they say that since you were running no cats that you were in violation of any emissions code, so therefore said you were racing?
This is the only thing that I can think of.
Othewrwise, this is BS. If the Service guys think you are loaded they might be turning in a warranty claim and still billing you....
