Default 5AT Shifting in MM mode

Just curious to see other people's experiences with this. Has anyone noticed that the car shifts faster in MM mode if you let off the gas? I've done that a couple times just to hear my BOV, but I noticed at the same time that the car shifts a LOT faster. Is there any downside to this? I did notice that if you let off the gas while shifting to 3rd, 4th, and 5th, that once you get on the pedal again, the tach will go up, then drop down a couple hundred rpms and then continue normally. Is there any downside to doing this? Is it bad for the tranny? I think this what another member what talking about when he was "inducing" shifts with his vortech (although I think he was in Auto mode). Thoughts?
