Easiest thing to do is get the NISMO LSD, it will provide everything you need for the install. If you get any other LSD, you will need to purchase other parts to make it work...http://mynismo.com/products/?id=2526

i was under the impression that the Quaife unit is also an easy add on for the base model as you don't need to get new axels

I think it was MIAPLAYA who said the nismo LSD is a nice unit, but also that it is very very noisy and makes your car sound "broken" (even though it's working properly) ... might want to use the search function a little bit more before you commit to an expensive mod like LSD

Agreed.

I am a BASE Z owner, and I bought the Cusco RS 1.5 Way right before the Quaife came out... I had to get the two oil seals, two diff. bearings, and two axle stubs (make sure you get the ones that go for the Z's/G35's that already have LSD from the factory) all for the rear for this LSD to install correctly.

And I love my LSD, though by going with the Quaife... I would have saved some money and still had what I wanted.

So I say consider Quaife and talk to Sharif@Forged (authorized Quaife vendor and is very familiar with the LSD's).

I just got a Nismo LSD for my base. It will be installed Sunday if you want to PM me and get driving impressions.

the quaife is the other unit for a Base diff that is a drop in, or includes all parts. and super quiet in daily driving compared toa race diff like the metal clutchpack nismo.

I have a 2004 Base and have a NISMO LSD that I haven't installed yet. I am very interested in your before/after driving opinion. Also, please let me know what settings your technician used on the unit. Apparently some settings work best for track and others for street. Thanks.

Not that I would ever want an autotragic, but out of curiousity, do Enthusiast/Track/Grand Touring Z's with automatic trans come with LSD?
