Screw stuck from Grounding Kit install..
Just a question, I've installed the grounding kit, and one of the screws broke off on the outside of the intake. It's now stuck inside the thread.
Just for my own sanity, I've tried to remove it using one of those "screw extractors" and drills... but to no avail. The extractor itself broke off while unscrewing.
Now I just have a small hole, about 2cm long, inside this broken screw... and I'm considering either:
a) Leaving it, since I don't think it will affect anything... I got the grounding kit attached to a nearby screw.
or
b) Taking it to a specialty shop... to have a guy look at it. Over the phone he told me he might have to remove the intake manifold in order to clean everything out... but should I even bother with that ?
Can the broken bolt do any harm stuck inside there ? Should I try to get it out ? Any suggestions ? :0

I just left mine in. It won't harm anything.
I think it actually gained me 4-5 HP and my car corners better , more of a balanced engine now in front.
Pics and Dyno charts to follow!
Really Doe,
I left mine in.

I made an extra grounding kit when I made mine and sold it on Ebay. This is exactly the reason why I included Grade 8.8 metric bolts and washers with my kit. If you buy your own bolts try and find Grade 5 or better. They won't break off.
Wonder if Nissan will ***** at me if they need to ever use that thread space.
That's my plan anyway.
Get a broken bolt extractor. Drill a hole in the middle of your broken bolt, then insert the extractor bit. The bit is like a backward threaded screw. When you turn it left (loose) its screw into the bolt, and will turn the bolt out. Dont leave that splinter in your manifold. Also C4 works nicely.

I wasted money on a broken extractor too, I kid in my replies but my screw is staying as is.
They (Nissan) would have to prove this broken bolt/screw caused damage which they would never be able to do, won't happen.
No worries, but seek a second opinion because who am I?

Heh, I did exactly the same thing. I was torquing one of the screws onto the intake manifold and crack, it broke. I ended up putting that grounding point onto another area and ended up leaving the screw in.
It won't be a problem.
