Nismo 450 bhp crate motor
I am pretty sure this hasn't been posted before if it has I apologize
Looks N/A from the pictures only disappointing part is the compression ratio which is 13.5:1 leaving very little room for boost?
450 bhp Nismo crate motor scroll to the bottom.
Also take a look at what a ~420 bhp fwd Maxima did. Granted it the guy stripped a good 300 pounds from the car putting it about 500 pounds lighter than the Z but this is FWD.

heh, yeah already posted WAY back
you know this is the Nismo crate motor built to Trans Am series spec they are selling to race teams and NOT a street car motor
and no, 13.5 compression means that it is a fully developed NA motor, there is absolutely no toloerance to run boost with it

Except you read that it would be 75k for the car in road and track and then in the next issue they corrected themselves becuase it was a misprint. That Nismo race car for the trans am series will cost more like 250K
That sounds more like it. The Nismo 350ZR is not actualy built for the Trans Am Series but is a GT car. They would have to change quite a bit to make it competitive in the Trans Am series. You'll likely see the 350ZR in the same series as 360GT and such. JGTC, FIA GT, ALMS, LeMans and such. 250K sounds about right for the whole car so $75K for the engine is a good deal. Beleive me when I say you wouldn't want that engine for the street use. It would be quite unmanagable and with a service schedule every 3000 miles or so could get a little expensive and you can screw passing smog tests anytime soon.
