The LS7R should fit in a C6.

+1, it won't be a problem. oil system might have trouble fitting, but the C6 has ample room for that motor.

deminsionally it should fit, any LSx seriew motor should fit with some mods. But just for fun here is a list of cost from another thread...

BTW a used LS1/T56 out of an Fbody would be much cheaper.

$13,000 stock LS7, with accesories, ecu and harness.
$3000 t56, clutch, master cylinder
$3000 custom headers & exhaust
$6000+ motor mounts, fuel system, custom power steering lines, custom ac lines (if you keep that), radiator, fans, wiring harness curtomization, oil lines and tank for dry sump, custom driveshaft, axles, on and on and on...

Your looking at $25,000 plus the cost of the car. This also doesn't include labor except for the exhaust parts. Have a nice day and take lots of pics...
I added axles in there since an LS7 is making 500tq, an LS1 LS2 LS6 would probally be fine...

A real c6 z06 would probably end up being cheaper and more reliable.

IMHO if u want to drop a LSx into another car other than the vette, drop it into the FD. great looking car with great handling, plus most swap parts/methods have already been developed.

for the Z, just turbo the vq35.

can you even afford an LS7? the LS7R, iirc, is the race version for the ALMS cars.

you have any idea how much a LS7 runs?

so you want to throw in the LS7 and then modify it to double the stock horsepower?

don't come back until it's done.

Exactly. If you are going to spend 100K on a motor swap, just buy a brand new c6 z06 with factory warranty. Add all the bolt ons and you will be at 650-700whp which will equal your proclaimed 900-1000hp...

I don't care how ugly you think it is, the Z06 is superior to the 350z in every way.
