I would have to agree with the masses on this one. You have a fully capable engine in your car already (for over $50K less to meet your goals at that) and it would be ludicrous to swap out for such an engine.
However, if you are looking to do a V8 swap you should maybe look into something like a 302 that was found in some of the mustangs. Would fit (even with some huge heads for some high lift cams and big valves) and you would be able to tune it with minimal money spent on ECU stuff. High compression and 400+ whp NA is possible on those engines using the stock ECU and no tuning other than fuel pressure. I have a friend who has this in his mustang and we measured it up for fun and it would fit quite nicely.
