Default ACT clutch

Well after 2k miles of 9psi the stock clutch is starting to slip some. I think I have decided on the ACT 6-puck sprung and the ACT streetlite flywheel. I think this combo should hold up quite well now and also later after the build. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get this combo at?

I would get the Prolite flywheel instead honestly. But check with www.z1auto.com they had a really good price last time I checked.

If you are not running crazy boost or a big turbo and don't need the drastically reduced inertia. The streetlite would get the job done well and would offer a lot more smoothness on the street w/ such a grabby clutch clutch disc. jmo

Have you driven the StreetLite and Prolite. I have driven both back to back and the Prolite is perfect IMHO. Its not as incredibly light as the name would you lead you to believe. Far from a Tilton.. It is light no doubt but the ACT Stage 1 pressure plate, 6 puck unsprung hub, and Prolite flywheel I drove was incredibly streetable and civil. My buddy who doesn't even own a Z and has never owned an upgraded clutch adjusted in 10 seconds.

I was going to go for the streetlite because I was advised by a few different shops that the prolite is more for NA and the streetlite is better for FI because of the added weight and inertia.

Thats what I heard. Later down the road a built motor and 15psi will come into play, so I figured the streetlite would be better suited for that.

I know of two turbo Zs in my town alone running the Prolite flywheel. One wit 380 WHP and the other with over 450 RWHP. Both are extremely happy. If you really want the Streetlite more power to you. If you haven't talk to Z1. They know ACTs products very well.

I would. The ACT Prolite and ACT 6 puck unsprung hub is my favorite setup I've driven to date. I have the ACT street disc, Stage 1 pressure plate, and unfortunately a JWT flywheel. The only reason I got that flywheel is because there were no Prolite flywheels available yet and I needed something immediately. To date i've driven the following setups on boosted cars:

(1)Stock clutch / stock Flywheel
(2)ACT Stage 1 (street disc) / Streetlite flywheel
(3)ACT Stage 1 (street disc) / JWT flywheel
(4)ACT Stage 1 (6 puck unsprung hub) / Prolite
(5)JWT clutch / JWT flywheel
(6)Clutchmaster FX300 / JWT flywheel
(7)JWT clutch / Stillen flywheel

So far 4 was my favorite. I own 3.

So should i go with the unsprung instead of the sprung? I figured the sprung would be alittle easier to drive.

Sprung hubs are tpyically more streetable yes but the unsprung wasn't bad at all. I'm not sure if the unsprung hub is rated to hold more torque or not. If the unsprung and sprung have the same holding capacity then I would do the sprung...
