Engine rebuild books, tools?
I have decided that I may try to rebuild my own engine after I spun a rod bearing. I have a good deal of wrenches, sockets, engine stand, picker, your normal set of tools.
What other special tools will I need in order to do the rebuild. I plan on strengthening the bottom end. And then installing a twin turbo kit on it. I know there are books out there too, what are they and where can I find them.
Also, if there is anyone around the area that would be willing to come by and help on the occation I have a question would be nice too. Always wanted to work on my own car but didn't really have a project thias big in mind. I am a mechanic in the military so I have a basic knowlege of engines but have never worked on a late model car before.

only thing you will find on the VQ35 is a service manual, which you WILL have to have to do the project. even the best will have to refer to it for timing chain set up and tolerances the first couple times.
