If I have an enthusiast Z and I want to change my tranny and diff oil, can I use the "Motul 90 PA" on both ? Or do I need to use something different for the diff and tranny?

300V is Motul's racing line of lubricants. We use their 300v engine oil quite frequently.

Thanks for your help Sharif, so I can use the Motylgear 75-90 for both the tranny and the diff correct? Also, do I need to add the friction modifier??

4 liters for the manual trans, and 2 liters for the diff. We have them in stock, if you'd like to order on the website. Still offering 10% off!

Just ordered 6 liters of motylgear for my stock tranny and lsd! Can't wait to put it in. I don't think I got a direct answer to whether or not I needed the friction modifier. Thanks SHARIF!

Will the Motul 75-90 work in my 02 Maxima tranny and diff as well as my 05 ZR? Both have OEM's trannies, and differentials. Thanks.

I swapped out my royal purple (+ additive) for the Motul last weekend. In terms of noise, it might be a little bit smoother than the RP but not by much. Maybe on the next change, I'll put some addititve in there, but the noise has never really bothered me on my nismo lsd because I like the benefits on track. I've got many track days coming up over the course of the next few weeks. I'd typically get 4 days out of the RP. I'll post back after a few hard runs.

So do you need the additive in a stock LSD, some say yes, some say no? Ugh, confused????????
Dealer Service says you have to put friction modifier in when using aftermarket gear oil, and you do not have to put friction modifier in when using stock OEM gear oil! hmmmm?

i just put in my nismo lsd and the popping and clunking gets pretty scary. just wondering, when it pops does it almost feel like someone bangs on your pumpkin with a bat and the whole car shakes pretty hard?

here is a nice explination of a VLSD:
http://auto.howstuffworks.com/differential5.htm
a friction modifier is used for clutch type LSD's to modify the friction between the clutches... so why would you need it on a VLSD if the coupling housing is sealed (which is what the stock LSD on the z is)?

forgot to post up my experience:
(1) originally installed Nismo with REDLINE fluid (no additional friction modifiers)
- first thousand miles were good, not much noise, but engagement is abrupt... very 'on/off'
(2) at 5k miles, switched fluid to Motul (again, no additional Fric. modifiers)
- ...so awesome. noise is still there, but not AS MUCH. and engagement is like butter... really weird. diff feels completely different.
I would completely recommend people to try this fluid out. it blew me away and was CEHAPER than the redline and smelled better!
I picked mine up from CarV2 in DE, they normally have Motul in stock.
