Unorthodox Ultra Street pulley

It depends on which pulleys you get. If you get a water pump and alternator pulley, you might noice higher water temps and slow charging at idle, buit once you start driving around, you will be fine. This is a common mod on Mustangs and the lights dim at idle since there are less amps being put out. The Mustnag has a stock 70 amp alternator so an upgrade to a 140 amp is a great solution to the problem. I don't know what the G/Z's alternator is, but I doubt it is as underpowered as the Mustangs was. J
Just to give you an idea, when I took off my belt from the mustang and ran without the power steering pump and a/c (it was freewheeling anyway), I gained about .2 et and a little over 1.5 mph in the 1/4. I think that is pretty good but not having power steering really sucked!!!!
I am going to go with these when they are available!!!

On the Z the WP is driven by the timing belt, so theres no UD pulley for that. Also, the UR pulley is the crank pulley that is underdriven. This makes it easiest since the AC/PS/ALT are all driven off this so you dont have the cost/hassle of paying for and installing 3 pulleys(besides the AC uses an electronic stator pulley on the comrpressor that cant be underdriven with a regular pulley) The downfall is this is where the harmonic balancer issue comes into play, I refer you to my previous post....

The biggest problem with UD pulleys is that they increase the draw on the alternator because it has to spin MORE for the same output. While this saves you engine power (aka rotational inertia), it creates an increased draw off the alternator. Its a win/lose situation, and if you were like me (aka running a competition audio system), you will end up pulling that UD pulley out. For stock systems, the draw is fine.
I also would wonder if for high-performance systems there is an upgraded VQ alternator option from another car - possibly from the FX35 or Murano? In order to build a both show & go car that alternator might need to be stepped up, especially if you start to add lighting systems, amplifiers (primarily sub amps), UD pulleys, anything that creates additional draw on the system.

I had an UR racing lightened and underdriven crankshaft pully on my last VQ motor in my maxima and I haven nothing but good things to say about it.
First off I'd like to dispell a couple rumors....the stock crank pully on VQ motors is NOT a harmonic dampener. The VQ series of motors have all their balancing done on the crankshaft itself. I had the UR pully on my maxima for 70K miles and it was notably smoother with the pully. This was discussed in GREAT length over 2 years ago on maxima.org. These pullies will also not have any noticable ill effects on the alternator as an alternator by nature is NOT a generator. It's output is NOT directly related to RPM like a generator is. This said, an alternator can have the same output at 2K RPMs and 6K RPMs. I had an aftermarket stereo system in my max...and everthing worked fine.
As for power gains...I did not do a before and after dyno, but a few guys did and saw as much as 8fwhp and 10fwtq from only the crank pully.
By the way...for the guy that said that the Z has a timing belt, it does NOT...it has a timing chain.

so who is going to be the first to buy it?
may be old news but just noticed it's finally on URs website

Now I am confused. SOmeone in here said that the water pump is internally driven, but they sell a water pump pulley? Who is wrong? Also, for $400, you get a crank, alternator, and water pump or for 229 you just get the crank. I wonder if the water pump pulley and some Redline Water Wetter and the alternator on a car with stock electrics will work fine?
I hope someone can answer this too, will these fit on the G35C? I would asssume so since they are the same motors. I wonder what the exact differences are...
