Default JUN Light weight Flywheel

We sell the JUN Flywheel for 350Z for 425.00. We
are getting ready to put our first order together for
the 350 flywheels as they have just been made
available. As for the power output, we are guessing
around 10 - 12 rwhp like the Z32. If you would like
one let us know.

Mark

I got the above email from SGP racing, im thinking about going this route for the 350z. seen good things with the 300zx

I am interested! I am assuming it is a light weight aluminum flywheel? When can I order one?

Lets us know what you dyno! I am wondering how much it will help. The 350Z has already has a light flywheel. Just drop the tranny and take a look (it only takes about 30 minutes).

Actually even better

It is a one piece Chromoly flywheel that can be resurfaced instead of having to buy a new steel insert like aluminum flywheels. Plus it does not wearp like aluminum.

Please excuse my ignorance, but i was under the impression that lightweight flywheels just allow your engine to rev fast, which can improve your acceleration, wont add power. I know it can save unsprung weight but that's not really adding any power. If it does add power, will somebody please inform as to how. Also, 10-12 rhp is a LOT. I'm skeptical.

But that doesnt mean I'm not interested. I would like a lightweight flywheel just for my engine to rev quicker.

Well by removing weight from the crank(rotating mass) it takes less Hp to turn the engine and with less Hp used to turn the crank more Hp goes to the wheels. Make sense?? You can even see a gain on the dyno with lighter wheels. It is not making Hp it is just freeing up Hp that the motor is already making and is getting lost in rotating mass.

theres no way the stock fw weighs 5 lbs. you'd be bouncing off the rev limit before u know it

i almost went with a jun fw for my integra, but heard the teeth didnt line up right w/ the starter, so i went with toda. both are chromoly fws.....not saying jun doesnt make good stuff, just no personal experience with their products.

Well good news and bad news

First the good news

Stock Flywheel weighs 27 3/4 Lbs

Jun Flywheel weighs 14 Lbs

That is ~ 13.5 Lbs difference which will make a big difference on how the car idles, revs up, and added Hp.

Now the bad news.

They are backordered two months out . I am going to put an order in now and get some in stock but it will be about 2 1/2 months before I have them
