Why don't you race the 6MT and tell us for yourself? Isn't that the fun part? Why back out in the first place ... You have a very good chance. Now go get him already ...

No more of these MT vs. AT threads --- plleeeaseeee!

These drivers have proved their skills:

Why not do the same.

You should pull on him.. I have not run into an 06 yet, but I do hear they have a slight advantage up top,, but your mod's should negate that on a stock 06. I have run a few 03-05 M/T Z's and have pulled everytime in a straight line,, on a road course the M/T will have the upper hand. Even before I swapped in the 3.5 FD I would inch up when the M/T would shift.
The true bottom line is, The driver... I have friends that can power shift a M/T faster than my auto will allow..Another misconception is you can't miss a shift in the A/T.. well in manual mode I have bounced of the rev limiter plenty of times, then you have to play catch up... Just practice your driving skills and know your car,, let us know how you make out

Thats pretty impressive. Most likely you will want to post your times here: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233840.

Every 6spd owner has too much respect to be racing a AT. Go buy a manual and your pubic hair will grow back.

Interesting since the two fastest Z's on this forum are Auto's ( 1/4 mile times, mph )

Because I was discussing it with a friend and wanted the opinions of people who have raced Jackass.

Soooo you are going to race a bone stock 06 REVUP 6MT Z? You think you are going to win? Yes, you may win, but probably by a bumper. But in reality, you still lose you know why? Cause you spent over $1500 dollars on your mods he is bone stock. Unless you are tuned, you will barely beat him.

I'm trying to figure out what is so funny about that, isn't the 1/4 mile a test of performance ?? In case you have no clue, it is, so click the link a few post up and see the verified time slips and what type of tranny they were running
