I think it may be extrude honed, or bored out. Nothing on gains from any of this stuff, but maybe valuetl can shed some light on this. (This is funny) here's the translation from Esprit's site:

Power intake for new model Z33. By utilizing this intake kit capacity of the intake substantial rise. The extent which you just install and is not believed simply Z33 power it is possible to raise.

Alittle port and polishing always helps increase air flow

Good call Vic. Their cams .... the nice folks at Tomei might not want you to know that.

So are those hotter cams? Any word on the intake?

And then of course, who's selling them?

theres no way they are selling full lower IMs ported and polished for $405 actually it looks like they are just selling that blue spacer kit that would make the manifold volume larger.

krinkov is correct.

As posted by another member a while back, the air flow to #1&2 cylinder is significantly less than that of the remaining cylinders.

The spacer increases the volume in the plenum. the incresed volume helps the front cylinder catch up to the rest. As for how effective it actually is I have no definative numbers. Might create one for myself and do some back to back testing to see.

I talked to Esprit about their intake over the weekend and seem you have to run their lowering engine mounts or shave 10MM off your motor mounts to use the intake. It hits the tower bar!!! Unable to get any Dyno info on their cams. They run a 272 degree cam and Tomei has 3 cams with 256 duration 10.4MM lift 264 duration 10.4MM and 168 duration 10.8MM. Should be able to get dyno info soon from Tomei and also I have better pricing from them than Esprit.

Now won't lowering your enine 10mm affect how it connects to the transmission? That whole thing sounds like a huge headache for such a simple looking mod.

It wont effect how the engine connects to the trans, but it would definately alter the driveline angle. Not sure if a change of just 10mm would really have adverse effects though. The intake would seem to be a mod further down the line, for someone who is trying to maximize the HP with bolt ons. For someone serious about HP, it might not be so high a price to pay.

That's a 268 duration, 10.8MM?

Please keep us posted on the cams. I think I'll pass on the intake for now--
