Default Base model going with an LSD...

Does anybody have the part numbers for the seals, gaskets, and bearings I will need to install an LSD into a base model. I already have the axel stubs, but I was just wondering what the part numbers were for the other things I need. Also, is there anything else I should need that I haven't listed above? Thanks.

What LSD are you going with. If Nismo or Quaife you won't need anything extra. For all others, you'll need the stubs and these I believe.

2 Oil Seals: (38342-P9010)
2 Differential Bearings: (38440-0C000)

I just picked up my Cusco and haven't had the chance to get it installed yet...

I'm also awaiting with my cusco... I don't trust myself and labor is pretty expensive... What are these stubs you mentioned above? Will i need that as well?

I think you're also going to need "shims" for a complete and correct install.
I hear they cost around $180 for a set, unless the shop you know of has shims on hand. I really don't want to cough up another $180 for my project, but it doesn't look as if I have a choice. Its to bad I can't use the current shims in my pumpkin...?

I'm going to try and reuse what I can, like side bearings with only 39k on them. Seals and washers will be replaced. I've already reused my stub-axles bolts with an early swap, everythings seems fine, I guess the RED thread-lock worked.

I was going to go with the cusco. I was planning on reusing my bearings also because there's only 6k miles on my car. Thanks for the part numbers and I will look into the shims.

Oh, one more question, are the axel stubs from an AT with VLSD the same as a MT with the LSD? I just want to make sure because I'm buying the stubs used and my cousin is giving me a good price for them. Thanks.

for those interested, we sell the Cusco diffs prepacked with the install kits needed

there are no shims needed when installing the LSD's

We keep the diffs on the shelf, ready to go...and our pricing can't be beat

http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ine&prodid=518

At 39K I'd recommend replacing the bearings

So does this mean that the Cusco comes with new seals, bearings, and axel stubs and that I would just have to put it into the pumpkin? Sorry for asking, but the link isn't working for me.

If you have a base model (open diff) car, you will need a set of VLSD stub axles to complete the Cusco installation. The only diff that will be ready to go, out of the box...is the Quaife.

Most of the diffs on the market, are designed to work with factory VLSD equipped cars, so be careful before you order.

link works just fine for me? You can also get to it by going to our website

www.z1auto.com

going to 350Z and Drivetrain - everything is listed in alphabetical order

The Cusco does not come with these items nornally. We simply created a package on our own that includes all the necessary parts to install into a base model

As Sharif said, the Quiafe is another option (also listed on our site), which will drop into the non viscous cars - it is a helical differential, vs a clutch type for the cusco or nismo

Quaife: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ne&prodid=2349

Are the axel stubs from an A/T LSD the same as from a M/T LSD? Should be right? Only the ring and pinion is different. Thanks.
