Default Mrev with my mods....

Hey guys.. I searched a little bit, but can't get the answer that I want.. I'm considering buying the MREV 2 for my Z because of all the goodness that people have written about it. My mods are in my sig.. Will it help out alot with my rev-up ( what type of gains are normal? ), and will it benefit from tuning with the UTEC? If so, how much? I PM'd Hydrazine as well, but more info is alwasy better. If it's as big of a difference like you all say, It will definitely be added to the credit card a.s.a.p

I don't know if anyone has tried the MREVII with AAM spacer. Give it a try.

From what I have found (in my searches) its the combo of MREV2+5/16 spacer that gives us "rev-up" owners the most bang for the buck.

Try a search, you will find lots of info.

Cheers,

R

Well with the rev-up and the spacer ( however most people get the Motordyne 5/16th spacer) along with the Mrev2, ive heard of gains upward of 15whp... That combo is my next mod for my rev-up....

I looked as well. Everyone uses the spacer. Finding threads that talk about results of the JWT cams, along with other typical I/H/E type things is difficult. Must be burried in some 100+ post long threads that this forum seems to have a ton of.

Yeah, i figure a spacer is a spacer, and since i already have the AAM one, we'll see how it does with the mrev

Check out MD's site, surely they have some dyno charts as a selling point of their products.

I was on the phone with Darren from Intense Motorsports earlier in search of a Motordyne 5/16 ISO THERMAL spacer for my 2006 Enth. 6spd, but they no longer sell that product. However they do sell the AAM spacer which to my understanding is better then the MD because it starts off at 5/16 then towards the back its 1/2...so on the dyno wouldn't that bring out more numbers? Also Darren said that the MREV 2 is compatable with the AAM spacer and honestly, the MD and AAM spacers are almost identical...just minor differences in design and pricing (motordyne is more).

If it's your first Mod then yeah you'll get around the 15 mark. If not then you won't see it.

From all the REVUP testing I've done on fully stock and highly modified Z's, the gains have always been greater than 15HP and 18TQ.

I would be curios to see the rev up dyno.

Edit: Found it. I really don't like the reduced HP during the last 1000rpm. Is their a option that minimizes this.

That was the first generation MREV where the lower collector was not modified. We no longer sell that revision. I will update the website and take thoes off.

There have been several members on this board that posted dyno plots of the MREV+ and a little later the MREV2. These revisions improved on the top end. Typically within +/-3 HP at redline. Results vary a little from vehicle to vehicle.

I'll get some some more dynos of the MREV2 posted soon.

I have only owned my G35 for a week. So I have not been reading this forum or researching this stuff for long. Would you mind briefly outlining the options for the Rev Up engine and posting dynos for each option. Or maybe I can do it and you tell me if I am right

5/16 spacer
1/2 spacer
Spacer + MRev2 new lower you just mentioned.

Dyno's for the spacer only and MRev2 with the Rev Up would be great.

You need to do some searching, but if you want the easy answer you should get MREV2 and 5/16" spacer, no you do not need tuning

I installed the mrev2 along with the 5/16 spacer and it made a nice difference... 17hp on the dyno but that was after some tuning... Your not going to be blown away by it but its a nice bang for the buck.
