I've used it for years. XL 5W30 http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/xlf.aspx
Generally go around 5000 miles between changes. I use OEM filter though. Have not tried any of their other products though.

i recently switched my tranny and diff fluid. The tranny fluid tends to...almost freeze....the shifter in sub 20 degree temps until it warms up. If you leave it in first gear for a minute then shift out, it almost feels as if the shifter froze slightly in the gate...Didn't notice a huge difference but more peace of mind knowing i have more protective stuff in there. I don't remember how to old fluid was in the cold...but i doubt it was as bad as this.
conclusion: worse in cold weather starts, slightly better than old fluid when warmed up

I used it my last two Dodge Ram pickups, and it seemed fine. The marketing claims are fantastic, but then again... that's what marketing claims are for. I did quite a bit of research and talked to two Amsoil reps about the 24,000 mile drain interval oil, then used that for a couple of years. The last truck was leased, and I always felt a little nervous about running the same oil for 24k miles or 12 months, even with a 12k oil filter change. But it was leased.
I think the biggest advantage of synthetics over dino oil are its ability to remain in the upper valve areas when shut down. This eases friction during cold starts, which is when the engine can suffer significant wear. I'm using Mobile1 in my ZR and feel good knowing it's there. I didn't notice any difference in mpg or driveability.
