I am sure once the driveshaft comes in everyone will be getting some upclose and personal views of the car.

Shouldn't have to. The G35X uses the same 3.538 gear ratios front and rear as the 6MT does in the rear.

If they do go FI in the future, a gear change is out of the question then no? does it use the same ring/pinion?

Not 100% sure but I wouldn't rule it out. The X drivetrain uses open differentials front and rear. Heavy use of the brakes biases torque side to side. If your right rear wheel starts to slip, the brakes are applied to the wheel, and it helps to bias torque back the left side.

You could easily install a mechanical diff in the rear, the front I would expect, probably not. Its a different size and design to fit under the engine. Maybe somebody with more R32-34 experience can be chime in, since the G35X drivetrain is a derivative of the R34's ATTESA drivetrain.

The biggest challenge I think is getting the electronics in sync, particulary if a transmission swap is used. There's heavy tie-in of the VDC/TCS/ABS contol unit to the AWD control unit. The AWD unit controls the electric transfer for the front wheel drive and the VDC/TCS/ABS for biasing left and right wheel torque.

Either way, its adding weight and you've got 4 driving wheels. Its a full 50/50 split at launch, so there should be no issue with the 3.538 at most levels of power.
