I made 348rwhp and 300 torque with the 440's, but couldn't use it because on the way home car started studderring. My injectors were at 97% duty cycle and were maxing out(per my tuner). I was told I needed to buy 750cc and return fuel system, so I did. I still think that they are too big but what do I know. I am just trying to get the car running right and make 385-400rwhp.
To the OP of the thread...there are plenty of people running 400whp on the stock internals. Your Vortech should be fine at 400whp and more. Its the amount of torque that really makes the difference. Most people with turbos are pushing lots of torque and are still holding up well on the stock block. Naturally, a supercharger won't make as much torque as a turbo so you should be plenty safe... To get the most reliability out of your stock engine...I would try to stay under 400whp and 380 lbft.
