400whp? is this possable with stock internals?
hi every one let me start off bye telling u about my car 2003 g35
i have the vortech super charger and a cat back exhaust. its been dynoed at 335 whp 300 whtq. in about a month from now im geting dc headers and the 9 lb pully on my car it has the (6lb now) and also a fpr so it can be tuned propely. sorces say i should have about 360-380 whp after that is done.
so thats around 450 crank. my delema is i just came acrost a ge=reat deal on intakemanaflod with will pust my whp to 400 or mabey even more!
im wondering if i should get this and put it on the same time i do the pully and headers.
whats the max output i can do on stock intrenals
and clutch and tranny ect...
my car runs great now with 335 whp never a problem but will 400 be to much? can some one please help?

my stock injectors handled 377rwhp 320tq ...my tuner said they were pretty much maxed out safely....goin to the 9lb pulley and exhaust i would suggest 440cc or bigger...my stock clutch couldnt handle the hp...def suggest a clutch flywheel combo, i have clutchmaster stage 4...it can handle 500ftlbs and has a close to stock feel...also some type of fuel management would be suggested... i am prob sellin my apexi afc-2 very soon if u want. ...great piggyback fuel management

the vortech kit comes with it's own inline pump, but it's not a walbro 255
some people have run the stock clutch just fine with 450whp and the same if not more torque for 20k miles. Of course it depends how you drive
George@GTM's car was doing 518whp wit an APS TT on the stock block for a short time until he tracked it hard. He didn't have an oil cooler etc and he tried driving to 140+mph at the end of a 20 min lapping session that he had been driving all day long before that. Who knows how long it would have lasted if he wasn't tracking it or running it hard without extra cooling mods etc

That is impressive to say the least.... When I read that.. I was saying to myself damn.. There would have been so much more knowledge gained from not tracking it and beating it to death till it blew.. Why? Because it could have proved out blocks can handle 600crank hp.. and with longevity/ installing oil cooler/ upgrades who knows what else we could have gained... Instead of countless members wanting to spend 10k on built engines we could have that WHP without the 10k expense.. More like take your car to GTM and you will have a beast for a cheaper price... ****.. For what its worth I would ship my car to them.....

oh actually when he tracked it he was making 550whp with 14 psi instead of 12 psi at 518whp...it lasted the whole day until the last run where he wanted to shoot for 140+mph on a straight - and did it I think, but it blew up. That was with stock radiator, no oil cooler, I think stock hood (no vents). I don't know much more than that
ok thanks what are our stock injectors 350cc or something?
so if i want to keep my car stock (except the mods to get the hp) my max output would be around 370 whp
thats not inc injectors or anything intrnal ( clutch ect...ect..)

I don't know. I was told I had to buy 440cc injectors, and not use the 380's that came with the procharger kit so I did. I made 348rwhp and 300 torque with the 440's, but couldn't use it because on the way home car started studderring. My injectors were at 97% duty cycle and were maxing out(per my tuner). I was told I needed to buy 750cc and return fuel system, so I did. I still think that they are too big but what do I know. I am just trying to get the car running right and make 385-400rwhp.
the kit comes with 380cc injectors unless you get the tuner. If you want to get to around 400hp then you will have to upgrade them. I was completely out of fuel at 405hp on the stock TN injectors.
with the stock injectors probably around 350-360hp
