Question Bleeding coolant?

I have a bit of air in my coolant system and was wondering how to get it out on the Z.

Thanks for any assistance!

first thing your going to need to find out how the air got in there.

patch up the hole or what every needs to be patched.

then you going to need to get a coolant flush of something like that(dont put that in stone)

If it's just a little air, it'll work it's way out through the overflow tank. If it's alot you can open the vent valve on the rear passenger side of your engine. It's inline with coolent hose. just open it a little while running, after it's up to temp, and bleed untill you get coolent out of it and no air.

Dang, back of the engine sounds hard to get to.

Its not a lot of air, we had to take the front fat coolant hose off, so its about as much as fits in there.

There is a coolant bleeder just right of the battery cover, between the intake plenum and the battery cover. It has a green cap on it. Just remove the cap and use a screwdriver to bleed the air in the coolant, have a rag handy to prevent leaking on the valve covers or manifold. Keep the coolant overflow tank full to prevent additional air pockets.
Courtesy Nissan used to have the pdf of the service manual online if you need it to get the bleeding/filling details.
If you can't find it, I can probably email you the pages with the coolant bleeding instructions. Send email address if you need it, but try the search function on this site first.
