Default Importlife turbo preview

Hello everyone. I have been researching near and far for all turbo options available. I have decided to go custom single turbo.

I will announce the shop once the sponsorship terms are agreed upon but i know there are many of you here that are hanging on a thread for any turbo news.

The shop i am using builds professional race engine used in NHRA. The chief mechanic knows he can get over 900whp from the VQ engine with new manifolds, pistons and other custom setups. But My goal right now is 4.2 0-60 and 11-10 second 1/4 miles, that is daily driver reliable. We will probably make the car capable of handling 700whp but lower the boost for 99% of the time.

My time table is to have test and tuned and shown at this yrs Sema Las vegas in November.

Wish me luck on this project and I will be sure to keep you all informed.

And please show us your support this coming week. Our 350Z will be at the Pavillion section at the NY Auto Show in the Javits Center. And our DVD will be sold there as well. (All participants frm the Smithtown Nissan Video Shoot, please expect your DVDs very shortly)

SIDE BAR: It is very important to overbuild your engine to make it reliable. So if you want to have a reliable 600whp, build that car for more. Please do your due dilegence when going turbo or supercharge.

Thanks,

Matt

Just a quick question, how would you make a single turbo manifold on a car that has two seperate headers servicing two seperate piston banks? This has been bugging me for a while. Wouldnt it be cheaper and more practical to have each cylinder bank spin a seperate turbo?
