Default my tq beast

Had a dyno done adn the results were:

First run: 233 HP and 305 tq
Second run: 237 HP and 309 TQ

My mods are Injen CAI, and Grounding kit. The temp was 83. Both runs were in 5th. I now have 5200 miles on the engine

My dyno before the CAI was 227 HP and 298 TQ and the temp that day was 66.

I'm not trying to sound like a smart@ss, but could you explain those tq numbers for me?? Seem to be kinda off with just a CAI and grounding kit....Very Nice if its true though!

Torque beast is right.

Not that I doubt you (okay, maybe just a little ), but do you got a graph to backup those claims?

I just wanted to shed some light on this for ya if you don't already know or for others if you are messing with us. The Dyno figures TQ as a function of rpm and if you provide the wrong info (telling it you car fires every 360 degrees instead of say 720) or hook up the plug wires wrong it will give you way off TQ numbers. Just as a example my RX-7TT which we all know is rotary and has little TQ has a dyno showing 470 ftlbs due to my mistake once.

Why is it bs on the tq? Why can't you say perhaps the guy hooked it up wrong. I am not about making false claims, I can only tell you what the paper says.

Anyway I do have the print out, but I don't have access to a scanner at this time. I just know that the previous time that I had the car dyno'd the reults the tq was really high also.

Why is everything on this site rice or bs

the machine was mixed up. no way.

what RPM was max torque at? lets assume 4200RPM the stock max torque.

that brings the hp at 4200rpm to 248... more than your max hp. so its safe to say that wasnt at 4200RPM.

highest RPM it could be at is 4000, and thats assuming max hp and torque are at the same point, and they both drop from there(which doesnt happen).

go on back and get a free dyno, cause he messed up.

So what should the settings be? Who's had theirs done where do you hook up the cables to get an accurate reading? Somebody help instead of bashing me? The guy must not know the proper settings for the Z. My car is the only one he has done.

Dont know too many dyno experts here. Print out a few copies of dynos on here, take them to the guy that did it and tell him he must have messed up. Have him redo it for free. Who knows, maybe he was right andyou just got a lucky engine from Nissan????

hes about 80ftlbs high, you dont get that lucky... he would know by his low 13sec acceleration.

anyway, it would help if you posted the dyno on here, or atleast what RPM the max numbers were at. Im guessing max torque was under 3000RPMs for that sort of thing.
