But I understand your concerned about the motor farting out on you, but its not really possible with the right tune and if leave the power down to a reasonable level. It also wont hurt to get a daily driver. I drive a beat up ford to work and around town. The Z is for weekends.

I was just trying to save you some money. NA mods are cheap but not when you start to add them all up. Get exhaust, intake, plenum spacer and a tune and you'll be happy. Goodluck!

you must make more money and or have less bills then..

But just to give you a little boost in the right direction... because Ive been there and hated it when ppl left me with no useful info. If you do not want to go FI, dont expect much for your money. Ive spent alot on quality Bolt-on parts parts and they have not net much power. My recommendation is figure out how much power you want and what your budget is. Then research to see what parts are best for your money, wants and expectations. I can honestly say that Intake, Exhaust, Test pipes, and Spacer is not enough for the 2,000 you pay.

If you are adequate with your Z's power as is... then great just do some suspension mods and maybe Intake and Spacer and call it a day. People must really enjoy the Z for what it is first before modding it .. in my opinion. There car could not be pushed to the limits like they think. I was guilty of this as anyone. People talk about the need for 2k suspension set-ups and such .. they cant even out drive there Z's stock suspension at the track yet. Just make sure you do it right the first time.. saves money and head-aches.

better handling, car will feel more responsive. Can you feel the difference in handling and responsiveness between a stock Z and a pickup truck or SUV? You use the Z's handling and responsiveness every time you drive it and turn the wheel. You just might not approach the absolute limit of its ability on the street, but you can feel how much more direct it feels. I get a kick out of driving my Z to work sometimes even though I might not get a lot of chances to floor it

That said, I think changing the final drive is a great way for more low end gear tq

Manual owners go with a 3.9 or a 3.7 if they want to change their ring and pinion.

My 3.9 is made/sold by 350EVO. I don't know if they are still selling them. The other popular one is made/sold by Central 20. Try Performance Nissan (www.mynismo.com). They should have one or both.
thnx man... and one more thing... whats the benefit that you get out of this?? Did u feel a difference when you got your 3.9? One thing that i did find while searching was that it improves acceleration...

thnx again

Better tires, X pipe exhaust, headers, weight reduction, shorter gears. Automatics are quick 0-60 since MT has too many uncontrollable variables

Just go with the 3.9FD... Best NA mod for those staying in that lane. Then go to the usual array of breathing mods (intake/spacer/headers/hf cats or test pipes/dual exhaust). For handling, fatter tires and suspension/sways. The last thing would be to do a EMS and tune.

As always, just my

Yes it improves acceleration. You should see approximately a 10% increase in acceleration in any gear along with a corresponding increase in rpm of approximately 300 rpm in any gear.
