3.9 FD (final drive) gearing. I'd recommend the Central 20.

Nitrous?

The gear will give less high end, more low end. Getting rid of your pop charger and aftermarket exhaust may help. Having all that extra air flowing reduces back pressure and sometimes kills your low end grunt.

You wouldn't do 3.9 on an AT; you'd swap to the MT's 3.5.

if your an AT find an FI person to swap out your 3.3 to a 3.5. its the best mod for you to do if you want better low end power. there are a bunch in florida for sure who will do it.

ZthirtyThr33,

3.9 is the final drive gearing. It is actually a ring and pinion. It is part of the the guts of the rear pumpkin where the differential is located. The stock ring and pinion for the six speed manual is 3.55. The auto is 3.3. Some people with autos have gone to the manual 3.55 ring and pinion. Manual owners go with a 3.9 or a 3.7 if they want to change their ring and pinion.

My 3.9 is made/sold by 350EVO. I don't know if they are still selling them. The other popular one is made/sold by Central 20. Try Performance Nissan (www.mynismo.com). They should have one or both.

Nothing! You should know better. NA mods FTL. When you add up all the NA mods plus the tune your better off getting a supercharger. Nothing wrong with it on a daily. Tons of members are FI and drive daily. Such as myself

Im 21 as well

But I understand your concerned about the motor farting out on you, but its not really possible with the right tune and if leave the power down to a reasonable level. It also wont hurt to get a daily driver. I drive a beat up ford to work and around town. The Z is for weekends.

I was just trying to save you some money. NA mods are cheap but not when you start to add them all up. Get exhaust, intake, plenum spacer and a tune and you'll be happy. Goodluck!

Stillen Supercharger stage 2, cost like $5K and no chance at all really of blowing the motor as long as it's installed right, you can actually by a warranty for your motor through stillen.
