Put an ammeter on the factory grounding line. How much current does it peak at? If it's more than 100mA then I would say a grounding kit MIGHT do something.

I'd say they are more for looks on our Z's. But it doesn't hurt to have more stuff grounded IMO. I don't have one on my Z and probably won't unless it's purely cosmetic.
