The real answer is just that: it's so expensive because it's ARC. And ARC is so expensive because...well, exclusivity, really.
For a point of reference, there was a thread recently about an ARC true dual Ti exhaust. MSRP: $6800!!!!!!!!

yeah, I guess my brain just cant justify that! It sounds like someone on ebay tryin to punk somebody. It looks badazz, though Id rather have a new exhaust.
