Default Engine oil level

I just had an oil change, i checked the level this morning its a little over than it should
(low) L XXXXXXXX H (high)

mine is on the 7th X, is that over filled??? I used 5 qts. of Mobil 5000

That's exactly where it should be. Same spot mine is every time i change mine. Manual states anywhere between L and H is fine.

So as long as its between the L and H, it's good?

How do you guys check if the motor is eating oil? Below the L line? (rev-up 6mt)

Drive it for about 1000 miles after the oil change if it is registering below the "L"...take it to a dealer to start a consumption test.
