I'd like to see how he got it down to that weight considering some of the stripped out cars that I've seen are still in the high 2900s...

You cant believe too much in OSW's scales ... when my s14 was on there, nobody believed my low readings as well. I think it might not be calibrated very well, but I am only speculating.

there are scales right next to my shop at the truck stop.

my car makes the most power at 12 to 1 AFR. i have a dyno remember

thanks everyone. i will make some more soon.

my car has nothing in it. everything from the seats back has been cut out and removed. there is a fuel cell, no stock tank, no evap stuff, no extra supports, no stock fuel system, test pipes and headers, no exhaust, my rims in front weigh 12 pounds with tires, my wheels in back weigh 30 pounds with tires, i have no AC, no PS, one belt that runs my alternator, no extra brackets on the whole car , took out the wiring harness throughout the whole car and gutted it out to only the wires that needed to be there, no e brake, no heat, coolant line in and out of the radiator and nothing else, small battery, stock radiator, no windsheild wipers or motors, one sparco racing seat, no sway bars, no cross bracing, no support under the tranny, no windsheild washer fluid, no rear wiper, no interior except the stock dash shell, everything has been trimmed and lightened so still works but no extra weight...

the car is light...

if you go to a drag racing calculator and enter my values, at 305 hp and 2700 (with me in it) my car should run 11.99 at 113 which is exactly right...

a lot of work, again, sounds expensive. We are looking at the price range of FI.

Nice work on the Car btw. I wonder how much power cams would add to your setup.

Jeremy, do you think you'll make more power with the greddy evo tt exhaust on? for more exhaust velocity?

I'm hoping to hit 300HP NA by the end of summer. By winter, I should have some track numbers for a 300rwhp full-weight Z. I've got the JWT S7 cams/springs/retainers waitng to go in. Just have to figure out which heads I want. I'll probably bump the compression to 12:1 by milling the heads. By any chance do you know if the stock heads can be milled to 12:1 without piston/valve problems? I didn't read your other thread about this build, but I gather you raised your CR with domed pistons. Did you mill the heads as well, or just deck them? I only want to run 12:1 because the NA build is just to see if I can break 300rwhp. The ultimate goal is to drop the CR with pistons and run boost.

how about i just go get on a dynopak and put down 360 like everyone else does??

these motors are brand new and i dont have a wide range of variety for parts. there are 100X the amount of k series motors being used in NA form so the product development is a lot faster. just a small handfull all motor builds that i know of with the VQ in a Z, the rest are all turbo.

apples to oranges again. is that all you have....

you cant mill these heads more than a total of .010 because the timing cover wont line up on the heads cause it drops them down. you need to raise the compression with pistons or a smaller combustion chamber.
