Default Anyone With Cusco Rs

I finished installing the cusco rs lsd and took the car out for a drive. I'm getting tire scrubbing while make low speed turns (3-7 mph) like when I'm pulling into my garage/driveway. This only happens with power on, if I push in the clutch and coast it doesn't do it so much. No clunking or anything. Set @ 1.5 way 60% lock. Just curious if anyone else with this lsd has similar experience. As this is my first experience with an non-viscous lsd I'm not use to the different sensations/noises.

That is completely normal and all the clutch type diffs will do this.

I've had my RS diff for almost a year now, and thats the only problem you will have with it. You get used to it after a while, but the rewards of having the diff are worth it.

If your going to track or auto-x the car, then YES you cant live without it!

If you are not then no, you can get by with the stock diff fine. Basically when you go with wider sticker tires, you will be over powering the stock viscous diff and will want something up to the task.

What kind of fluid are you using for it?

I have mine setup at 1.5-Way at 80% Lock...it was chattery as hell when I first installed it with Mobil 1 fluid. Switched to Motul 90PA and wow, what a world of difference. I also hear that Redline 75w-90 Diff. fluid with the friction modifier works well too. So I would say try some good fluid.

mbiggets - use normal dino oil for around 1000 miles, then switch over to a quality synthetic. I recommend (and have used) Royal Purple, Castrol Synthetic and now currently running Motorcraft with great success...0 excessive noise at all

Probably my most favorite mod to date

Yeah, I'm using Mobil 1 right now. I'll try something different after I break it in.

Yeah, Royal Purple is what I normally use. Right now though it's Red-Line. It was noisy at first, but it seems to of gotten better some how.
